Explosions Brussels

Two explosions rocked Brussels airport on Tuesday. Belgian broadcaster VRT said it was a suicide attack.  VRT said 13 people were killed and 35 injured.

Multiple reports say more bombs were found at the airport.

Reuters also reported that there was been an explosion at a Brussels metro station close to EU institutions. Reports of a possible second explosion in a metro station have also emerged. All public transport has been shut down. RT said at least 10 people had been killed in the confirmed metro blast.

The European Commission locked down its staff, the vice president in charge of personnel tweeted, as residents of the city were told to stay home if possible as security was raised to its highest level ever. Security has also been raised at all main European cities.
